Does anyone else think that the front end of the 787 looks a little like the 757...there tends to be a slght resemblence in my opinion.

I like the 757 also. It will probably be a long time before IND sees any 787 service once it is in service *lol*

It won't be that long. I'd expect by around 2010. Give or take a year. IND was listed in a study as a prime market for the 787. It was recommended that LH jump on the route from FRA.

That would be cool. I think the potential is there...as long as the terminal opens on time and doesn't have a problem like DEN did during the last decade. I forget where i heard this but i guess there are some "repairs" that need to be done to the current terminal but they are only going to put a "band aid" on since the terminal will be closed in about 18 months...kind of cool to think about.

Personally I think the 787 would be wasted on a route like IND-AMS, DTW-AMS, MEM-AMS or MSP-AMS. It needs to be on the super long haul routes. IND-AMS would be best served on the 757-200 if it has the legs, 767 or the A330-200 series. I just don't understand why the report I saw would place a long range jet like that on a relatively short flight. IND-NRT on a 787 would make sense.

I, for one, would be all over an IND-FRA flight. Or any IND-Europe nonstop, for that matter. It's just much easier to fly nonstop to the European airport, 'cause once you're there, at least you're in Europe if you face delays. You can at least be on the right time zone and communicate with the people you're visiting.
