Maybe they let two go after snooping
Seriously though, I don't know why their hiring.

Probably still short staffed in the Part Time Ramp area.
Retention is an issue for all of the airlines right now.

Is there a tougher airline job than loading bags into a plane?

I'd say flying planes, fixing planes, routing them around the skies, and trying to make airlines profitable are four of the many airline jobs that are tougher than loading bags onto the plane.
Seriously, with all the cost cutting, I can see the day when gate agents load bags, flight attendants cater and clean (already some FAs are doing some cleaning), and ticket agents handle lost baggage issues. It's just like at my job - 10 years ago, we had a corporate travel department that handled your travel bookings, we had secretaries and receptionists who handled your expense reports, and we had site HR people who helped with your benefits claims, etc. Now, all that stuff is self-serve. So heck - maybe in a few years, passengers will load their own bags on the plane!

With the new year fast approaching, does anyone think NW will add any new cities from IND next year? I think or "predict" that they will add at least two, which ones i cannot say at the moment. But it almost would make sense to start thinking of adding more cities, especially as time gets closer to the opening of the new terminal (if NW does plan on maintaining its focus city here).

AMS would be nice.
But I'd really prefer they just focus on getting through bankruptcy and shoreing up the balance sheet once and for all.

Any new flights going to be added at IND by NW? I know the seasonal ones are back or are going to be back but what about new cities, etc.? Will we see Compass at IND?

They seem to be going at a pretty good pace with the construction but it will be easier to tell as they get closer to working on the "internal" things like the baggage system, etc.

Yup, the only bad thing is the "web cam" will pretty much be worthless at that point.

Why can't they have something like PHL where it actually is a "live" cam...and not some camera where we get a new picture every few days or so??
