I was able to get some pics of the Northwest Airlines operations at IND on May 29th, 2006. The pics aren't the greatest quality. It was at sunrise and the light was in between good and bad. The air quality was a bit poor and the news trucks were out in force with their transmitters raised high.
Here is a basic rundown of what was at concourse A. First off there was a DC9 parked up by the wall on the right side of the concourse. It had no place to go. All gates were full.
A1 - DC9
A2 - 757-300
A3 - DC9
A4 - A320
A5 - 757-200
A6 - 3 CRJs
A7 - A319
A8 - A319
There may have been another CRJ parked at the end but I couldn't see it. I know a 4th CRJ was due in. Also there was another 757-200 due in but I wasn't going to wait around. I was outside only a few minutes to take pictures before heading inside to check out what was going on. The NW ticket counter was an absolute zoo. There were no less than 2 news crews hanging around that area interviewing passengers. I didn't want to be disrespectful and stop to take pics. I figured the passengers were being distracted enough. On the way back to the parking garage I was met by a supervisor from security. He asked if I was up on the garage taking pictures. I told him I was. He was fine with it. He just had someone alert him about a person on the garage. Nice to know security is keeping up on things. Anyway, I didn't want to wear out my welcome so I called it a morning after about 20 minutes total time at the airport.
Here are some of my NW pics from this morning.

TWA only brought in the '200s. But there is plenty of room on that side of A to bring in a 757-300.
