This may not seem like Indy related, but ATA might be expanding at midway, which could relate into a move back into indy! Airtran announced that they were dropping MDW-DFW, which is a highly traveled route by ATA.

With the loads they have had I'd suspect that MSP will be one to get additional cuts. Maybe not dropped completely but 6x when you can't even get a 70% load isn't good.

My bet is that route changes for IND are in the very near future. You can't use 4 gates and have less than 15 flights a day. Something is going to change for the summer.

I agree, and I think you'll see those changes beginning around Memorial Day. Don't forget that it's just as much about people coming TO Indy as it is people leaving FROM Indy. (And for that matter, transiting THROUGH Indy). And Memorial Day weekend is the first race, of course.

Can I get a peanut crumb with that thimble of Coke?
