The only time I have flown AirTran was with X-Fares, which you have to get at the airport, but when you buy a ticket on AirTran, what is their seat assignment policy. You can't get seats when you make your reservation online but you have to get them at the airport or is it a 24-hour online in advance check in and get your seat assignment type of deal?

What goes on with this?

Thanks.

I don't know what the deal is with that except for allowing them another fare in the structure. May be a way of rewarding those who pay a higher fare by allowing them to select their seats in advance. I don't care for the fact that you can't see the seat map until after you've paid for the ticket.
