How common is it for planes to take off from the middle of the runway? When i came back to IND on Cape Air we taxied to the middle of the runway in SBN and then started takeoff roll from the middle of the runway. I neglected to ask the pilot once we landed at IND, but thought it was kind of unusal. I do have it on video but i have to get a new wire to transfer it to my laptop.
