Honestly? I hope Spirit never comes to IND. They could care less about passenger comfort and they basically mock the traveling public by having a configuration on one of their jets with a 28 inch pitch which is absolutely disgraceful. Delta has some seating that is pushing 30 inches and it is really uncomfortable for a tall person. Something as small is not doable. In fact a 28 inch pitch has to be unhealthy. But in my opinion Spirit doesn't care. And as a result I don't care about them. If they were the only nonstop service on a route I'd take a connection through a hub I hated paying $200 more or I simply wouldn't go. I certainly would encourage people to refuse to do business with them until they get their pitch to a minimum of 30 inches. Personally I think 31 inches or greater should be mandated by the FAA.

Allegiant is 30". Here are others and their lowest...

Southwest 32"
AirTran 30"
Frontier 30"
JetBlue 33"

And of course...
Spirit 28"

How bad is that? It is worse than RyanAir and easyJet. That is saying something.
