I found some funny stuff. In 1979 TWA had three different wide body routes from IND. They ran L1011 service to MCI, LAX and get this.... CMH. We can't even get RJ service to CMH today and they had L1011 service back in 1979. Some of these routes and equipment selections are amusing.

I think it's more interesting to see all the intrastate air service back then, and all the point-to-point routes that existed. It seems like service was better when the aircraft were shorter-ranged and less comfortable.

Can I get a peanut crumb with that thimble of Coke?

I remember flying in a TW L1011 back in the mid 80's I think. Flew STL to IND. I don't know if there were even 10 people on the flight. Some of the routes of old are interesting. Its hard to imagine some of them having anyone on board outside of crew.
