I can't remember when this was; I'm thinking sometime in 2000. I flew Access Air from IND to PHL (I think). I remember that they offered n/s service to DSM and PHL ex-IND. It was on some kind of big older plane. Their big hook was that you could upgrade to First Class for $30 or something. The plane was really run down - fabric worn or falling off of seats and bulkhead dividers, etc. It was nice to have nonstop service at a low fare (a time when only US offered n/s to PHL and it cost an arm and a leg). But I think they pulled out of IND after about 3 months.
They used terminal D; their ticket counter was on the leftmost position of the US Air counter over in D. Did anyone else fly this airline?
I googled it recently and see that the former CEO is on the hook with the IRS for $1.3 million in unpaid federal airline ticket taxes. I saw on this site: http://www.justplanes.com/AirlineHist.html that they officially went out of business in Feb. 2001.

And yes, it was Access Air. I know because my butt was on the airplane.
Can I get a peanut crumb with that thimble of Coke?
