I thought this would be an interesting way to try and track capacity changes at IND for 2006. If an airline adds a flight that can seat 100 people it is adding 200 additional seats per day. 100 in and 100 out. Likewise they remove that much capacity when they pull a flight.
Here are the changes so far not including seasonal service.
AirTran Adds 717 To TPA Feb 16th
117 seats x 2 ways x 318 days = 74,412 additional seats
AirTran Drops 717 To FLL May 9th (assumes flight not returning)
117 seats x 2 ways x 255 days = 59,670 seats lost
AirTran Adds 737 To LAX May 9th
137 seats x 2 ways x 255 days = 69,870 additional seats
AirTran Adds 737 To LAX June 20th
137 seats x 2 ways x 214 days = 58,636 additional seats
AirTran Adds 737 To SFO June 7th
137 seats x 2 ways x 227 days = 62,198 additional seats
Northwest Adds A319 to LAX June 8th
124 seats x 2 ways x 226 days = 56,048 additional seats
Northwest Adds A319 to SFO June 1st
124 seats x 2 ways x 233 days = 57,784 additional seats
Northwest Upgrades LGA Flight from CRJ to DC9 June 8th
56 seats x 2 ways x 226 days = 25,312 additional seats
AirTran Upgrades ATL Flight From 717 to 737 June 7th
20 seats x 2 ways x 227 days = 9,080 additional seats
Total change in available seats so far in 2006
353,670 gain
Does anyone have any word on what ATA killed and when they were killed Its likely that the loss of the ATA routes will offset the gains made with Northwest and AirTran.

ATA was doing the 737-800s towards the end, I believe, for Las Vegas, Ft. Myers, and Orlando/San Juan.
