I know we have kind of determined that WN was done here, but do you think Southwest would ever add service from IND to Nashville and Birmingham? However, upon looking a Fare measure numbers, it would seem more plausible to restart service to MSY. Any thoughts?

Why do my favorite airlines end up going defunct??

Honestly I don't see them adding anything here. They just don't seem interested. I think MSY would be a good route for NW/Compass.

If SWA opened Service to BNA, then the flight would go BNA, MSY DAL. and then where ever

They used to have n/s service to BNA. But I imagine it just didn't perform well. And now that they're cutting many underperforming routes and reassigning that capacity to stronger origins, like DEN, I doubt IND-BNA is coming back anytime soon. It's a shame, 'cause I'd probably use it a couple times a year. I only fly WN when its nonstop, so connections matter squat to me.

I honestly don't think WN is going to do anything here. They've never shown an interest in IND. I think they are going to greatly slash the remainder of the FL routes out of IND and continue to operate nicely from their 3 gates with their limited schedule. I think any increase in service is going to have to come from someone else.

I think they used to fly the route and ended it.
