The online arrivals and departures through indianapolisairport.com list the status of all the airlines, except for Southwest and Frontier. For those two airlines, instead of saying "On Time," "Early," or "Delayed" or whatever, it just says, "Contact Airline." What's up with that? Are they too good to participate?

And while on the topic, ever notice that the new display boards in the airport don't update well? They usually don't show that a plane is late at all. They usually don't show that it's arrived until the passengers have left the airport. Etc... What's up with that? I hope the system in the new terminal is better.

The current system is terrible. It doesn't update correctly at all. I was at the airport to pick someone up a couple of months ago, and it said the plane had already landed, when it was actually forty-five minutes late. You're right, the system in the new terminal had better be different, improved, or new.

Why do my favorite airlines end up going defunct??

I had a very similar experience. I knew before I went to the airport that the plane was going to be about 30 min late, but when I got there, it said the flight was on time. I was picking up a business contact that I hadn't met in person before, so I was afraid that I might have already missed him. I ended up calling the airline and found out it was actually 45 minutes late. The stupid monitor didn't change until people started coming off the flight, and then it said "landed at XX:XX". Big help. IND can't be a first-class airport with a system like that.

You would think that with our airport not being as big as ORD, ATL, or many others (meaning less flights), that we could have a decent system that actually worked. Not this crap.
