How is Frontier performing out of Indianapolis? I was just always under some strange assumption that load factors and city performance was so so. Or does Frontier do really well out of Indianapolis? After all, they did add service to Cancun, so something's going on....

I have absolutely no idea. They seem to operate here with little fan fare. I don't know that I've ever seen an advertisement for them. Unlike AirTran for example which I have seen advertised often. Heck they even advertise on indianapolisairport.com . Maybe after the holidays I'll take a day trip to DEN on Frontier to see how they are.

I have yet to fly on Frontier myself. Frontier was certainly able to come into St. Louis and make a splash for itself without any major fanfare or promotion, then again they did capitalize on a void to western cities no longer served nonstop by American. They have expanded to Cancun out of STL and did fly the Los Angeles nonstop route, which, in my opinion, should have never been dropped. They decided to use that plane on other routes and make an additional daily through Denver instead.

With all that being said, I just think since Frontier has the "western U.S. theme" going on, they could do a couple of point to points from Indy, especially if NWA reduces service, to such places as San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, etc., especially since they already have the name recognition out west feeding the route from that passenger base as well.

Frontier seems to be doing pretty well. I received an e-mail from them this week saying that IND-DEN service in going from four flights a day to five flights a day. It's also being discussed on a.net right now.

Why do my favorite airlines end up going defunct??

I would love to see Frotier step in with IND-SAN service.

I've flown their product before. It's nice. It's a lot like Airtran, I suppose. I think their biggest concern now is the arrival of WN at DEN.

I am considering flying Frontier to SEA in the spring and was wondering if it would be worth it Smile

p.s. I know that it was indicated that Frontier would do the ground handling for Cape Air or would have some involvement. WHen i flew Cape Air, i did not see anything that would indicate any Frontier employees were working any Cape Air flghts.

Any employees that you saw working the Cape Air flight aside to the pilot were Frontier employees. The people at the ticket counter, the gate, and the baggage handlers are all Frontier employees.

From what I understand, yes. People that I know at Frontier told me that they are in fact handling Cape Air's flights.

...unless they lied...

...hope not...

I know they are handling the Cape Air flights. It was either part of an IND contract or a Cape Air press release. But yes... It is Frontier. I'm 100% sure of that.
