I fly CO and NW most often ex-IND. I love CO's service, particularly to international destinations. But why, why, why, can't we get more than one flight a day on a full size plane? I don't mind RJs for 1 to 1.5 hour hops; they're certainly better than the old props. But I for one think that CO would increase their pax traffic out of IND if they'd swap out one or two of the RJs on the IAH route and put in 737s. The trip to IAH on the ERJ (sitting in 2D if I can) is awful. It's just too dang long to be crammed into one of those little birds. I say, build it and they will come. Provide more big planes to the hubs and CO will fill them.

There is no way on earth I'd fly something that size for that long. I can't stand the idea of flying one to CLE and that is a relatively short hop.

i don't mind the ER4. it has a wicked little take off and anymore you get on and you get off. i remember my first ER4 experience last fall going to Cleveland. my friend was meeting me at the airport and i told him to have a nice drive. he told me to do the same, laffed, then hung up. i was seriously thinking of NOT getting on the damn thing. it was small compared to big ass O'Hare! but i got on, and it was fine. from Cleveland back to O'Hare...probably one of the best flights ever. i flew the ER4 again between Cleveland and La Guardia in January, just over an hour on that. looks like i'm taking it again it in July down to Houston. that's 2 hours and 10 minutes or so from St. Louis. don't know if i'm too excited about that, or not . i can handle it, but since i've never been through DFW i was hoping to go through there and connect on AA...but...time is limited that weekend as i have to be back on Sunday and CO is nonstop. going out, i wouldn't even get there on Saturday until 1pm because i'd have to fly north first and connect through Chicago.
so this just totally rambled onto something different...but hey...at least you guys at IND see Continental mainline from time to time. we see nothing but pretty little planes.

When did Contiental start getting winglets on the ERJs? I was at the airport on my way to SCE last month and saw two of them at the C gates. I have them on the video that Indy put up

That's the Embraer ERJ-145XR. It has beefier engines plus winglets and a little bit more fuel capacity. That's how they can fly these stupid things so far. Of course, just because you CAN fly an ERJ really far, doesn't mean you SHOULD.
